The Space Between - What Happens When You Outgrow the Box - Vol 4

There’s a moment in every transformation where you’re no longer who you used to be… but you’re not yet who you’re becoming either. It’s The Space Between identities. The quiet middle. The void.

Most people don’t talk about this part; not because it’s unimportant, but because it’s uncomfortable. It’s the place where the old self has dissolved, the new self hasn’t arrived, and nothing feels solid under your feet.

It’s the moment where you can’t go back, but you can’t quite move forward either.

And if you’re here right now, I want you to know something: You’re not lost. You’re in transition.

This is the part of the journey where everything feels like nothing. Where clarity flickers in and out. Where your old patterns don’t fit, but your new ones haven’t formed. Where you feel strangely invisible... even to yourself.

But here’s the truth most people never learn: The void isn’t empty.

It’s fertile. It’s the place where your next self is quietly assembling. Where your nervous system recalibrates. Where your desires rearrange themselves. Where your identity sheds what can’t come with you.

It’s the cocoon stage; the part where the caterpillar literally dissolves before becoming something new. Not pretty. Not linear. Not Instagram-able. But absolutely essential.

And here’s the part that matters most:

The void is not a punishment.

It’s preparation.

When you outgrow the box, you don’t immediately step into a bigger one. You step into the space between; the place where you learn to breathe without walls. This is where you learn to trust yourself again. This is where you learn to listen. This is where you learn to stop forcing and start allowing.

The void is where your next chapter begins long before you can see it.

So, if you’re here; suspended, uncertain, unraveling, reforming... I want you to know:

You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re not failing.

You’re becoming. And becoming always starts in the dark, in the quiet, in the nothingness… before the shape of your next self emerges.

I’d love to hear from you.
Are you in the space between right now, no longer who you were, not yet who you’re becoming?

What does your “void” feel like these days?

Your words might be the reminder someone else needs.
